
Alexandria Valentine

Alexandria Valentine is a southern-of-center writer and editor from Chicago. They earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Fine Arts from the Columbia University School of the Arts, and were formerly an associate editor at Iron Horse Literary Review. Their writing has been supported by The Kenyon Review Fiction Workshop, the Tin House Workshop, and the Periplus Collective. Valentine’s work has appeared in South 85 Journal, Arkana, and elsewhere. They are currently at work on their debut Southern Gothic novel.
Darling Heart

Darling Heart is a Louisiana-born, Maryland-based writer, editor, creative, and communications professional. Darling earned dual bachelor’s degrees—a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, a Bachelor of Arts in African and African-American Studies—from Louisiana State University and a Master of Public Administration and Policy from American University. Darling has served as a writing tutor and a slam team member. Darling’s written work is highly technical while still touching the heart of the reader. It is grief-stricken and love-drenched, and it is Darling all along.


Stephanie Dinsae
Assistant Editor
A poet and Black Classicist from New York City, Stephanie Dinsae is a 2019 Smith College graduate with an MFA in Poetry and Literary Translation. She often writes poetry about myth as it relates to Blackness and her own life, video games, friendship, and the fallibility/flexibility of memory. Stephanie has published work with Floriography, The Seventh Wave, Center for Book Arts, among many others. She is a 2023 Brooklyn Poets Fall Fellow and a 2025 Ink & Impact Fellow with Lavender Education. Her favorite things to do are dance around to music and obsess over astrology. In case you were wondering, Stephanie has major Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius placements.
Amber Janay Cooper
Collagist
Amber Janay Cooper is a DC-based Afro-surrealist collage artist who extends the life of Black printed cultural ephemera to envision new and old worlds. In 2025, Amber self-published two collections of collage works, Interophilia 001 and Interophilia Issue 002. Amber volunteers in her faith community and views her art practice as another branch of her spirituality.
